Words From an SEO Neophyte

As a creative-minded individual, I have always jumped at any chance to pluck the strings of my imagination.  To me, there is no greater pleasure than venturing deep inside oneself and unleashing a heartfelt expression of powerful emotions.  So, one could imagine my delight when I discovered that even in the working world, life gives us a wealth of creative opportunities.

When I first heard about the practice of search engine optimization (SEO), I didn’t expect it to be creatively demanding.  In my mind, the content to be developed was purely informational.  However, as I wrote my first article for a college apparel and accessories online store, I realized how integral creativity was to the job.

As an SEO writer, information is one’s duty, but mere information cannot suffice.  It is important to use vivid, colorful language to really bring out the features and capabilities of each product.  Additionally, it enables the use of friendlier tones, which many customers find appealing, and if one has a customer’s confidence, one will likely have their business as well.

As it turns out, creativity goes a long way towards fulfilling our informational duties to the customer. So, the next time you’re developing SEO content, don’t be afraid to give it that special touch!
