Repeat After Me: Big Brands Need SEO

I posted a few weeks ago about big brands making the fatal mistake of feeling they simply don’t need SEO. eMarketer.com recently conducted a survery that analyzed the percentage of consumers who researched prices for big ticket items like electronics and computers online, before they then went to their local big box store to purchase them.

According to eMarketer.com, about 58% of people researched consumer electronics online before heading out to their local big brand stores to buy - so doesn’t it make sense for these same brands to focus on SEO to put their online store right in the hands of researching shoppers? Those same shoppers who find your brand in the top spots on search engines may then be more propelled to head out to your brick and mortar store and buy, rather than go to your competitor’s store in the next shopping plaza over.
