Don’t Trip, Spiders!

In Search Engine Land’s article, “Information Architecture Is Crucial To Good SEO”, Eric Enge explains the importance of “information architecture” to SEO. Just like a human navigating through the Web, search engine spiders can get tripped up by too much information or a faulty site architecture and simply lose their way.

It’s important your site be relatively easy to navigate. Make sure all your important section pages are listed as categories in your left navigation bar, and if appropriate for your site, have a “Shop By Brands” section in your left navigation bar. By ensuring your site is visitor friendly, you’re helping your site be SEO friendly as well.
