Meet the SEO Team

The Search Engine Optimization Team at Solid Cactus prides ourselves on actually getting to know clients and focusing on how best to achieve their individual wants. You’re not just a faceless site we’re optimizing without a thought on how to uniquely create SEO success for you. We’re always growing, but here’s a glimpse at the real people you’re working with - we’re more than just names! Alicia Magda, SEO Team Leader

Coming in at just under 5 feet tall, Alicia is the SEO Team Leader at Solid Cactus. She has been at Solid Cactus for a little over two years and has worked in nearly all facets of the Internet Marketing department at Solid Cactus. Besides skiing (since she was three!), reading (esp. Jack Kerouac!), Alicia loves the written word and feels SEO content is one of the most important aspects of an SEO campaign.  She feels that the future of SEO lies in Social Media Optimization (SMO) and enjoys creating innovative online presences for her SEO clients on popular SMO sites. When not optimizing client sites, you can usually find her sipping an espresso-filled drink (hint! She takes bribes in the form of coffee) at a local coffeeshop or bookstore. She also has an affection for penguins.

Alicia is a Misericordia University alum, having majored in English with an emphasis on Professional Writing and a minor in Communications.

Jeff Stolarcyk, Senior SEO Account Manager

At 6′5″, Jeff is the tallest member of the SEO team, and he contends that makes him the smartest and most attractive, as well.  Coming to Solid Cactus from a background in journalism and education, his favorite parts of the job are blogging and copywriting.  When he manages to find some spare time, Jeff likes to cook, write, read compulsively and basically be an inveterate geek.  He’s been listed among users that make the microblogging site Twitter “Effective (And Fun).”

“With the foot and a half height difference between us, Jeff and I make quite the SEO duo! I (literally!) look up to him, and his help to the SEO department has been tremendous. Plus, anyone who hasn’t met him in person is missing out on his wide array of accents, particulary his dashing Brit accent, and the wit that keeps me laughing all day” says Alicia.

Shannon Mullery, SEO Specialist

As an avid online shopper, Shannon knows first-hand what redirects her to a better site. She takes this eye for detail, and mixes well with research, to determine the best methods for promoting you! She enjoys reading books about the human condition – whether it’s about why we buy what we buy, or what choice actually represents in this overwhelming world. The primary thing she has taken from all of these books? At the end of the seemingly infinite list of options we are presented with every day, all we really want is the best. We want the certainty that we have made an informed, correct decision.

In addition to helping your site along the path to growth, she also enjoys knowing she has made someone’s day easier and better by presenting them with the facts about your products, so they can add to cart with confidence. Shannon is currently involved in a very fulfilling relationship with Keyword Research. They have been going steady for several months. She loves all things sparkly and glossy. And beagles.

Luis Colon, SEO Specialist

Luis is a self-proclaimed Internet Marketing junkie. He has extensive experience in consulting small businesses on how to maximize their online identity. He’s been fortunate enough to work with businesses ranging from Fortune 500 companies  to your mom and pop businesses, and provides excellent service no matter how large or small a project may be. Luis’s SEO specialties include link building and SMO. When not working, you can catch Luis at home watching MMA on his brand new projector!

“Luis has a confident nature that makes him strive to excel on every SEO project he sets forth on. This confidence flows over to the entire team, making us want to show off our great SEO skills at every turn,” says Alicia.

Nick Matthews, SEO Specialist

Besides enjoying his position as an SEO Specialist at Solid Cactus, Nick likes to read, write, and spend time outdoors where he can finally turn his cell phone off and explore somewhere new. Nick is one of the newest members of SC’s SEO Team, and enjoys the field and is eager to learn as much as he can. He loves his job (isn’t it great when we can all honestly say that!) and the field he found himself in after college.

“Life is a journey and I took a different path that turned out to be the best one for me. I like to go to work and the people here are some of the most talented and interesting people I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting,” says Nick.

“Nick’s free-flowing outlook on life coincides with his approach to SEO - be as natural as possible, and people will follow. His research and writing skills are a great asset to the team,” notes Alicia.

Nick hails from King’s College, where he majored in History.

Mandy Boyle, SEO Specialist
